Programs and Events
To support faculty development in this area, we will be hosting CAFE Conversations with various members of campus throughout the fall and spring semesters. During each session, representatives from across campus will speak about topics related to diversity and inclusion. During our first two sessions, the directors from diversity and inclusion focused centers, offices, and departments across campus will provide information to faculty about current resources and activities in each of their respective areas. The conversations will also serve as an introduction to each of the areas that provide services to members of campus and provide an opportunity to talk with faculty on how they can partner with each area on strategic university initiatives to strengthen student success.
Join the Women's Center every third Monday from 3-4 pm for donuts, coffee, and conversation. Each month they will host a featured guest.
Hang out at the Women's Center once a month and dive into the semester's common read. A creative workshop based on the common read will take place at the end of the semester.
Fostering diversity and cultivating inclusion is a core value of Tennessee Tech. The Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program is designed to provide employees with the knowledge and skills to help Tennessee Tech achieve our diversity goals and create an inclusive environment for everyone. This program will also provide employees with the skills to foster inclusive excellence in all they do.
