Human Development and Family Science

The Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) concentrations offers a holistic, ecological, and integrative perspective on children and families. The HDFS curriculum challenges students to examine individuals and families in the environments in which they live, work, and play. Stages of individual and family development and the relationships people form throughout their lives are prominent aspects of the program. Student majoring in HDFS receive practical experience in professionals settings such as practicums, field experiences, and/or internships.
