Dr. Jaime L. Williams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences and Management in Tennessee Tech’s College of Business. Her latest research explores how authority structures and individual differences shape behavior and perceptions of fairness in organizations. She focuses on algorithmic authority and structural ambiguity in AI-enabled HR systems, examining how employees interpret and respond to computationally mediated decisions, and she integrates this work with a long-standing interest in organizational justice, implicit personality, and conditional reasoning. Her scholarship has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology Review, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Gender in Management, and Personality and Individual Differences, with additional work under review and in progress. Dr. Williams teaches Human Resource Management and Training & Development using high-impact experiential learning, including simulations and applied decision-making projects, and she has taught Staffing, Organizational Behavior, and Principles of Management.
