Financial Aid
Education is an important investment and the Office of Financial Aid at Tech is dedicated to reducing the financial barriers to academic success. From applying for aid to managing scholarship awards, office staff guide students to help them understand the processes and make the decisions that best meet their needs. The office is a resource for information and assistance with grants, loans, scholarships and work study programs.
Student Success Centers
Student Success Centers are in place in every college with professional advisors to assist students with academic issues and provide guidance for advisement and academic success. The centers can help students complete general education requirements, select degree programs and overcome academic hurdles. Whether students need minimal assistance or more comprehensive support, the Student Success Centers help students reach their potential as undergraduates.
Center for Career Development
The Center for Career Development is the university’s centralized career planning and employment center connecting students and alumni with career opportunities. On-campus interviews, five annual career fairs and prep workshops help students polish their resume and their interview skills to land the job of their dreams. The center’s cooperative education program provides students with real-world work experience in their chosen major. From freshman year to graduation, the center staff is here to facilitate a successful transition from college to career.
SGA
Students have the opportunity to express their opinions and collaborate with university administrators through the Student Government Organization. Consisting of student-selected executive officers, senators and supreme court, SGA serves as a liaison between the student body and university administrators to foster a strong sense of community on campus.
Advisement
Academic advisors are in place to help every student at Tech navigate the college experience and make appropriate course selections. Advisors work with upper classman students in the academic department of the student’s major, making them especially knowledgeable in the course requirements and degree paths. Students meet personally with their advisors each Fall and Spring semester to check in and plan for semesters ahead.
Women's Center
Empowering women and promoting diversity at the university, the Women’s Center provides leadership, support services and special events to educate and enlighten the campus community. The Women’s Center houses a library of books and literature related to women’s issues and hosts a regular book club meeting. Support groups and awareness events are held by the center throughout the year.
