Dr. Abdul Momin is an Assistant Professor in Agricultural Engineering Technology at the School of Agriculture. He holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Agricultural Engineering from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He completed his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University, Japan, where his research focused on the postharvest processing of fruits and vegetables using a fluorescence imaging-based machine vision system.
Dr. Momin's primary teaching interests include classical agricultural engineering technology courses such as precision agriculture, agricultural machinery, engine and tractor power, and postharvest engineering. His research focuses on data-driven precision and digital agriculture technologies, machine vision systems, and postharvest engineering.
To date, Dr. Momin has authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and nine web publications. He has presented his work at numerous professional workshops and has served as a peer reviewer for several prestigious journals in the field of agricultural engineering technology. He is a highly sociable young man with a good sense of humor. He is courteous and respectful to everyone, regardless of race, cultural background, religion, or origin, and is always willing to help. Outside of work, he enjoys long drives with his family.
