About
Dr. Deiter teaches Shakespeare and other courses on early English literature and literary criticism.
Her research focuses on spatial literary studies and early modern English literature. She has published two books: The Tower of London in English Renaissance Drama: Icon of Opposition (Routledge, 2008); and Reading Richard III and the Tower of London (Routledge, 2024).
She has also published articles in The Seventeenth Century, Renaissance and Reformation, Comparative Drama, Philological Quarterly, Symbolism, and other journals.
At Tennessee Tech, Dr. Deiter has received the Scholar-Mentor Award, the College of Arts and Sciences Award for Research and Scholarly Activity, and a Non-instructional Faculty Assignment (sabbatical) to pursue research.
