The Machine Intelligence and Data Science (MInDS) Center coordinates artificial intelligence and data science research and education efforts across Tennessee Tech University. The center brings together faculty and researchers from diverse backgrounds to create and support cross-cutting research and educational opportunities across a wide variety of applications and research. AI-related graduate education and research spans many departments on campus and includes work in following areas:
- Applied AI (e.g., cybersecurity, healthcare and environmental studies)
- Machine Learning
- Robotics
- Trustworthy/Explainable AI

MInDS Co-Director Selected as NSF NAIRR AI Education Fellow
Tennessee Tech computer science professor William Eberle, Ph.D., co-director of the Machine Intelligence and Data Science (MInDS) Center and assistant dean of Graduate Studies for the College of Engineering, has been selected as one of just 25 faculty nationwide for the National Science Foundation's inaugural National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource (NAIRR) AI Education Fellows program.
