Theatre Concentration

Camilla is thrilled to be a part of her first Neil Simon production, "Rumors!" She has been trained in theatre for many years and has been a part of over 20 productions. She has also worked with various companies such as Cookeville Children's Theatre, Shakespeare in the Park, Backdoor Playhouse, etc. You may have recently seen her in the production of "Our Town" bawking like a chicken! She would like to thank her family and boyfriend for being especially encouraging and supportive throughout this process. She hopes this show is able to make you smile just as much as it has for her!

Riley is excited to return to the Backdoor Playhouse for his final show! Riley is a senior at Tennessee Tech studying Musical Theater. He is also a current intern at the Cumberland County Playhouse. Regional (Performance): "Anastasia," "Hairspray," "Deathtrap." Other select performances: "Into The Woods," "Godspell," "Carrie," "The Cabana." Briley is a senior English Major at Tennessee Tech. She has been helping out at the Backdoor Playhouse since her freshman year even acting as the Assistant Stage Manager for "Godspell." She was most recently in the Backdoor Playhouse's productions of "Into the Woods" and "Our Town." She would like to thank Eleni Fragopoulos for the lovely opportunity to play Claire. She’d also like to thank her family, friends, and the Lord for all the love and support as well as her lovely fellow cast and crew members!

James is an English Theatre concentration major and is excited to be performing in his second production at the Backdoor Playhouse. This show reflects his growth as a performer as he continues to build confidence and develop his skills on stage. He would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support, as well as his acting coach, Ms. Gina Kelley, for her guidance and encouragement.

Colby is extremely excited to be a part of "Rumors" at The Backdoor Playhouse. In high school, he had the opportunity to play Corny Collins for "Hairspray" during his senior year. He sings and performs as a baritone for the Tennessee Tech Chorale. He would like to thank his family and friends for their constant support in his theatre endeavors, as well as his girlfriend, Perry Rodgers, who he has the privilege of acting with in the show. When he isn’t on the stage, he is pursuing his engineering classes, as he is currently finishing his final semester before graduating.

Perry is so excited to be a part of "Rumors," her first show with the Backdoor Playhouse. Her past roles include Titania ("A Midsummer Night’s Dream"), Wendy ("Peter Pan"), Della ("The Gift of the Magi"), and Molly ("Annie"). Perry will be receiving her B.S. in Chemistry this fall from Tennessee Tech. She would like to thank her family, her friends, her boyfriend, Colby, and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Perry hopes you enjoy the show, and that nobody throws their back out from laughing!

Gabriel is excited to return to the Backdoor Playhouse stage! He has previously performed as John/Judas in "Godspell" and Rapunzel’s Prince in "Into the Woods." When he isn’t acting or singing, he works as a full-time master’s student on civil engineering. He will continue his research (and performances) as a Ph.D. student at the University of Delaware in the fall. He wants to thank the cast and crew for always supporting him!

Miranda is so excited to be participating in "Rumors" at the Back Door Playhouse. She has recently worked with the Back Door Playhouse on "Into The Woods" as Rapunzel. Miranda is studying Music Performance at Tennessee Tech and will also be studying Marketing in the Fall. Miranda has previously worked on shows such as "Oklahoma" and "Guys and Dolls." Miranda would like to thank her family for all of their constant love and support, her friends for their consideration and care, and most of all she thanks God who has blessed her abundantly and has placed her where she is today.

Landon is very excited to play Officer Welch in this production of "Rumors." This is his second show at the Backdoor Playhouse, and he is very excited to see where else he will go from here. He has experience in theater from high school and community theater but is very excited to see what he can give and receive here. He would also like to thank everyone in this show and thank the director for allowing him to play this great character.

Jaden, a History Education M.A. student, is excited to be Officer Pudney in "Rumors" at The Backdoor Playhouse. Previous roles include Thelma Jean Early in "Long Live Rock ’n Roll," Mrs. Soames in "Our Town," and others. After wrapping up "Rumors," audiences can find her in the ensemble of "Oklahoma" at CPAC this summer. Jaden would like to thank the "Rumors" cast and crew for all the hard work they have put into this production to make it the best show possible. She would also like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her in all her theatre endeavors.

Eli is very excited to be an understudy in his first play. He is a freshman student in mechanical engineering. In his free time, he loves being in the foundry for the AFS club. He also loves birding and going out on long walks and hikes. He wants to thank his Lord Jesus Christ for all He has done for him.

Emily is excited to be part of "Rumors" at Tennessee Tech’s Backdoor Playhouse. This marks her first involvement in a theatre production. She is a Computer Science Education major at Tennessee Tech. Outside of theatre, Emily enjoys reading, gaming, and playing the trumpet. She would like to thank her parents, brother, and friends for their continued support as she branches out into this new endeavor. 

Addy is thrilled to be understudying as Claire Ganz in her second show at the Backdoor Playhouse! She is a freshman pre-health biology major who enjoys theater as a hobby. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her in all her academic and non-academic pursuits! Additionally, she would like to thank Briley Dempsey for helping her with the role and being a great mentor.

Arianna is an Elementary Education Freshmen student here at Tennessee Tech. This is her first show here at the Backdoor Playhouse. She loves acting, singing, and dancing. She's done nine other shows with her local theater, Warren Arts, her most recent works include: Shrek the Musical and Mary Poppins Jr.

Greyson Madden is thrilled to be helping with the production of "Rumors" at Tennessee Tech University. He has worked on several productions such as "Legally Blond" (stage manager), "Mama Mia" (ensemble), "Radium Girls" (Arthur Roeder), and several more. Off stage, Greyson likes to work on studying for his mechanical engineering degree, as well as working on his cars.

This is Abigail’s first production at the Backdoor playhouse. She has had the wonderful privilege of being in and helping with productions since she was in the 3rd grade, her favorite being The Sound of Music (Audio 2). When Abigail is not backstage, she spends her time reading and hanging out with her friends as well as perusing her bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing.

This is Lilli Dutton’s second production she’s been blessed with working on. She loves working behind the scenes and has a lot of fun with the cast and crew during rehearsals. Lilli would like to thank her parents, who, without their support, she may have never found out how much she loves theatre.
