Standardized Tests
ACCUPLACER exam scores place students in math, reading, and writing courses. Official scores are loaded overnight and will be visible to students and advisors in Eagle Online the next day. Students receive an unofficial score via email immediately after completing the exam.
From June 25 through July 1, you cannot schedule ACCUPLACER in TLC Testing or purchase a voucher to take it somewhere else due to end-of-year financial closing procedures.
- » Choosing which section(s) to takeYou may take one, two, or all three sections at a time. If you are aren't sure which section(s) you need to take, ask your advisor or admissions counselor. You select which section(s) to take when you schedule your exam. 
- » FeesTaking ACCUPLACER costs $20, which you pay when you schedule online. It costs $20 each time you schedule whether you take one, two, or three sections. 
- » Schedule your ACCUPLACER examFollow the instructions on our Schedule-Reschedule-Cancel page to sign up for ACCUPLACER. 
- » Taking ACCUPLACER somewhere elseIf you already have scores from somewhere else, email tlc@tntech.edu to get them sent to Tech. If you are a Tech student and want to take it somewhere other than TLC Testing, please follow these instructions: - Find an ACCUPLACER test center: https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/students/before-test-day/find-test-center.
- Contact your chosen test center and confirm you can test there.
- Schedule an appointment with that test center for your chosen day and time.
- Purchase a Tech ACCUPLACER voucher by following the scheduling instructions and choose the following:
 Exam Type: ACCUPLACER
 Second Group: ACCUPLACER Voucher
