Child Life

The Child Life program is endorsed by the Association of Child Life Professionals and is the gateway to the Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) credential. Certified Child Life Specialists provide evidence-based, developmentally appropriate interventions including therapeutic play, preparation for procedures and education that support and reduce fear, anxiety and pain for children, adolescents and families. They work in partnership with families, interdisciplinary healthcare teams and community professionals within the evolving health care system to meet the psychosocial, emotion and development needs of children and adolescents.
