The lab is an interactive, technology-based program designed from the ground up to work with immersive virtual reality experiences while exploring its use in future K-12 teaching and learning strategies.

This lab virtually immerses pre-service teachers in a classroom environment providing a sample experience before entering an actual classroom. The VISION Lab is also available to current educators teaching throughout the region who may be transitioning into a different subject and/or grade level.

The experience does not replace hands-on interaction, but helps prepare future teachers for classroom placements (i.e. practicum, internship, residency, moving grade levels, subjects, schools).

Our resources provide students and practicing teachers with opportunities to observe teaching strategies, behavior management, classroom set-up, and lesson structure in real classroom settings from teachers practicing locally.

The lab stays current on virtual reality (VR) research, teaching strategies, state standards, and other important policies to maintain current/relevant videos.

Developed in cooperation with the Tennessee Tech iCube.
