The Appalachian Center for Craft is a campus of the nationally accredited School of Art, Craft & Design within the College of Fine Arts and is located in Smithville, Tennessee.

The Appalachian Center for Craft's Artist in Residence Program (AIR) allows emerging professional artists to live and work in its immersive studio environment.

Our Mission
The mission of the Appalachian Center for Craft is to promote excellence in American craft by teaching both tradition and innovation in professional studio craft, and fostering access to the highest quality craft education, craft artists, craft works and events in a community arts context.
