Wildlife and fisheries science is the study of animal populations and the applied use of ecological principles to manage these populations. A concentration in fisheries science focuses on studying and learning to manage ecosystems where fish are raised and harvested. Students will learn about the general biology of most species of fish and other aquatic life and how that information impacts the fiscal and political decision-making that governs the fisheries industry.
