Tuition & Fees

Tennessee Tech uses a flat rate tuition model - you'll only pay tuition for up to 12 hours per semester, so any hours you add past 12 are free! This allows us to simplify our tuition and fees model and makes it easier for students to determine how much they'll need to pay to attend Tech each semester they're enrolled. The table below breaks down estimated costs per semester.

In-State Tuition & Fees (New Freshman & Transfers Only)*
Expense Per Semester
Total In-State Cost $ 12,070
Full-time Tuition and Mandatory Fee Rate $ 5,688
Residence Hall Room* $ 3,177
Meal Plan* $ 3,205

Domestic Out-of-State Tuition & Fees (New Freshman & Transfers Only)*
Expense Per Semester
Total Domestic Out-of State Cost $ 14,170
Full-time Tuition and Mandatory Fee Rate $ 7,788
Residence Hall Room* $ 3,177
Meal Plan* $ 3,205

For a full explanation of fees, see our Tuition & Fees Page.

*Estimated costs based on Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Summer 2025 term. Expenses are calculated using a traditional double-occupancy residence hall room and the popular Purple Plus dining option. All rates are subject to change yearly.
