After being admitted to Tennessee Tech, orientation is the next important step of your transition process, and we offer a variety of programs for new students and their families. To begin, please select your student type to review the next steps in completing your enrollment to Tech.

First-Year Orientation (SOAR)

First-year Orientation (SOAR) is designed for first-time college freshmen, under the age of 21, who are admitted for either the summer or fall term. Learn more about first-year orientation »

 

Transfer Orientation

Transfer Orientation is designed for new transfer students who have previously attended either a community college or another 4-year university and are admitted for either the summer of fall term. Learn more about Transfer Orientation »

 

Spring Orientation

Spring Orientation is designed for first-time college students (both freshmen and transfer) who are admitted for the spring term. Learn more about Spring Orientation »

 

Nontraditional Orientation

Non-Traditional Orientation is designed for first-time college students who are at least 21 years of age or older as of the 1st day of classes, or an adult learner. Learn more about Nontraditional Orientation »

 

International Student Orientation

International Student Onboarding and Orientation is for new, international first-time freshmen and transfer students. The program includes an onboarding segment to assist new international students with processing immigration documentation and other enrollment requirements. Non-Degree Seeking Students

Individuals admitted as Non-Degree Seeking (those wanting to enroll in college courses for personal, educational or professional enrichment (i.e., fulfill prerequisites for graduate or professional school, maintain professional licensure or credentials, enhance professional knowledge or skills, take a course as a senior citizen, etc.)) do not have to complete orientation.
