- Craft Center Upgrades SBC#364/031-01-2023
Project Description:
This project will provide for upgrades, repairs, and systems replacement including all related work to several buildings at the Joe L. Evins Appalachian Center for Crafts. Work includes but may not be limited to electrical infrastructure repair, replacement of the existing chiller with an air-cooled chiller and demolition of the cooling tower, installation of phase loss monitoring on the incoming electrical service, relocation and replacement of the domestic water booster pump, installation of a generator to provide power to the sprinkler system fire pump and the domestic water booster pump, fire pump improvements to meet present day codes, and replacement of a pedestrian bridge.

- Teaching Headhouse Renovation SBC#364/021-01-2024

Project Description:
This project includes, but may not be limited to, renovation of the classroom building of the Headhouse at Shipley Farm. Interior and exterior walls to be demolished with existing structure and roof to remain. New work to consist of a classroom, CNC room, and headhouse work room with new restrooms for the building.

- Johnson Hall Pkg 2 Demo SBC#364/011-04-2022CM
Project Description:
This project is the demolition and abatement of parts of an existing Type II-B building. Work includes, but may not be limited to, safe removal of hazardous materials in preparation for renovation work in the next project phase; selective interior demolition including non-load bearing walls, mechanical equipment and ductwork, piping, and electrical equipment; removal of existing elevator, shaft, and mechanical components; and removal of existing stairs and portions of stair walls. Site work for this phase is limited to construction fencing and any site support required by the contractor.

This project includes, but may not be limited to, modernizing two passenger elevators in the Roaden University Center, along with modifications to the kitchen elevator, also in the RUC. A project alternate includes modernizing the north elevator in Prescott Hall.
