Students
Tech students wanting to make an appointment for career-related issues can still make appointments through the Handshake system as normal by visiting the link provided below. For the immediate future, appointments will be conducted over the phone or via Zoom communication.
Handshake
Tech students using Handshake to find employment opportunities should see little to no difference while we are on the modified delivery model. Employers will still place jobs and be able to search resumes. Likewise students will still be able to apply for jobs as usual.
Employers
Employers wanting to place jobs with Tech can still utilize the Handshake system as always. Other employer requests can still be done via phone or email. Employers needing assistance with interviewing Tech students should call us for more specific instructions concerning date, time, and method. Employers with ongoing recruiting/interviewing efforts with Tech students should proceed as you normally would.
Cooperative Education
All questions concerning your status as a participating co-op student can be answered by emailing Sonja Higgenbotham at shiggenbotham@tntech.edu.
If you have any further questions, call our office at (931) 372-3232 or email career@tntech.edu.

About the Center for Career Development
The Center for Career Development is the university's centralized career planning and student recruitment center. We connect students and alumni with employers by conducting on-campus interviews, hosting annual career fairs, and coordinating the cooperative education program, which provides students with real-world work experience in their chosen major. From freshman year to graduation, our staff provides resources in career planning, resume writing, and job search strategies that enable students to make a successful transition from college to career.
