Cooperative Education Program Guidelines
As of Summer 2025
Undergraduate Requirements
Undergraduate students electing to enter the Cooperative Education Program must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Attend a co-op & internship meetup prior to beginning co-op.
- Maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA at the time of the employer co-op offer and through the beginning of the co-op assignment with the employer.
- Complete two grading cycles at the university prior to beginning co-op.
- Complete either the Gold (freshman/sophomore) or Purple (junior/senior) Career Readiness Certification Program.
- Complete a co-op orientation appointment with the Career Development office.
- Maintain enrollment in the appropriate co-op course throughout the entire co-op assignment, including summer semesters.
- In addition to the above requirements, Engineering majors must also receive co-op approval from an engineering academic advisor. Advisors will check to ensure students have earned a C or better grade in the appropriate milestone course:
As of January 1, 2024, Disney College Internship Program will no longer be processed through the Cooperative Education Program. Students will need to contact their academic advisor within their respective department to identify if the internship will qualify according to departmental internship requirements. Please ensure you have taken this step prior to making any commitments with Disney.

Milestone Course Confirmation
When the student is applying for a co-op position, the student must request for the respective College of Engineering academic advisor to confirm that the student has completed the milestone course. The student will then provide this written confirmation to the co-op office.
* Registration for all co-op courses will be processed by the Career Development Office
Graduate Requirements
All students must meet the eligibility guidelines for the Cooperative Education Program:
- Attend a co-op meetup prior to beginning co-op.
- Complete one university grading cycle in the master’s program or PhD program prior to beginning co-op.
- Maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA at the time of the employer co-op offer and through the beginning of the co-op assignment with the employer.
