Canvas Course Migration
As part of the transition to Canvas, courses for the 2026-2027 academic year will be migrated from D2L iLearn during the summer and fall. An outline of this process as well as next steps can be found below. If you have questions regarding the migration, please email citl@tntech.edu.
Migration Process
To help ensure course content is migrated correctly and efficiently, Tennessee Tech has partnered with K16 and Canvas to migrate courses from D2L iLearn to Canvas for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Summer 2027, and future semesters. This process began in Spring 2026 with migration of Fall 2026 courses and will continue through the fall. Please review the steps and resources below as we move through this process.
Course Migration Request Form
Complete the request form below to have D2L iLearn content migrated to Canvas for the upcoming semesters after Fall 2026.
NOTE: Migration requests for Fall 2026 are no longer being accepted and a manual migration will be needed for course content. Please contact citl@tntech.edu for additional information on migrating your Fall 2026 courses.
Course Preparation Checklist
As we continue to migrate courses from D2L iLearn to Canvas, it is important that
faculty review their course materials and ensure their course content is up-to-date
and in an exportable format. This includes:
1) ensuring all video (mp4) content has been transferred to YuJa Media and
2) Course Files are organized and update to date.
These two things will be helpful while we work on migrating course content.
