How We Started
ESTAR Sanos started in 2020 with an award from the Rebecca Tolbert Faculty Research Program.
The major motivator for the initiative was vaccine hesitancy experienced by the rural and Hispanic communities in the Upper Cumberland.
The ESTAR team built on this seed funding to secure $400,000 in external grants from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and the Tennessee Department of Health.
Supported with funding through a cooperative agreement between The Tennessee Department of Health, award number NH23IP922617. Information is the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily reflect the official views of the CDC or the TDH.
