Get Involved
Expand your educational and professional horizons by getting involved in any of our
engagement opportunities offered by the TN Tech College of Business Department of
Economics, Finance, and Marketing. EFM along with the rest of the College of Business
maintains and supports student clubs and organizations, annual events and conferences,
and program-specific student collaborations and experiential learning opportunities
to further elevate our rich education experience. Getting involved does not only open
doors for future employment and professional growth, but it also makes for a more
memorable and valuable university experience.
Marketing Club
The Marketing Club is a service organization open to all marketing majors and business
students. The club focuses on career development and job placement in the marketing
field. Annual club activities include monthly meetings, guest lectures, fund-raisers,
participation in National Marketing Week, and various social events. The Marketing
Club has won numerous international honors for business scholarship as well as club
activities from the professional division of the American Marketing Association. Recruiting
for the marketing club occurs in the fall; however, students may join at any time.
Barketing on the Quad
Barketing on the Quad is an event the Tennessee Tech Marketing Club puts on every
year for students during finals week each spring semester. Join the fun and stress
relief by playing with shelter pets.
College of Business Student Ambassadors
COB Student Ambassadors are students from all business majors whose activities include assisting at college
and university functions; recruiting new students through visits and correspondence;
and promoting college spirit through events like Business Foundations meetings, Homecoming
activities, etc. Ambassadors can be any classification with a preferred 3.0 GPA. New
Ambassadors are selected each fall semester by an application and interview process.
Eagle Works
Eagle Works is an annual competition held by the Tennessee Tech Center for Rural Innovation
in which TN Tech students can create, develop, and present entrepreneurial ideas for
a chance to win. Students of any college, department, or discipline are invited to
dream big and enter the shark-tank style competition to potentially receive funding
for their team’s proposal. If you are looking for an entrepreneurial growth opportunity,
