Faculty Academy for Course and Program Development
Academic Affairs is pleased to announce new grant-funded opportunities available through a newly established faculty academy. The Academy for Course and Program Development infuses faculty development with best practices in instructional design support to assist faculty, departments, and colleges, with rapid course and program development and delivery to ensure course quality and optimal student engagement. The Center for Advancing Excellence (CAFE) and the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) facilitate all Academy offerings.
The inaugural call for proposals for the Faculty Academy for Course and Program Development took place in Spring 2023. The first grant cycle included 30 faculty members from 6 colleges with 26 proposal projects resulting in COURSES, PROGRAMS, CERTS. 28 of the faculty are now certified by the Online Learning Consortium to teach online through the OLC's 12-week Online Teaching Certificate program.

Timeline
- April 22: Grant application opens
- May 24: Grant application closes
- June 6: Grant Recipients Notified & Grant Cycle begins
- Summer 2024: Grant recipients participate in OLC cohort for Online Teaching certificate and course build-out for offerings in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.
