College Town Weekends is a promotion that combines both on-campus and off-campus events into one list so students can easily find weekend activities of interest. Students are encouraged to take advantage of all that Tech and the surrounding community have to offer. After all, Cookeville is Tennessee’s college town!

Self Defense Workshop

In this Self Defense Workshop participants will learn basic principles to take control of their lives and safety by learning mental and physical preparedness. Instruction is conducted in a friendly, self- paced learning environment. Unusual physical ability and flexibility are not required for this program. This workshop is recommended for anyone who is eager to learn ways to protect themselves. Students should dress in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and be prepared to take an active role in class. Chuckwagon Festival

This one-of-a-kind event features authentic chuckwagon demonstrations, wild west reenactments, cattle roping, hayrides, food trucks, and artisan vendors. During this two-day event, you will get to experience the best of the Wild West! Saturday is for ticket holders only featuring an authentic Chuckwagon dining experience at High NOON, Chuckwagon Cook-Off Competition, Wild West Show, wagon rides ($10), cattle roping, and kids' area. This event is held on a working farm with hayfield parking and not entirely wheelchair accessible. Adults $20, Kids 12 & under $10, Kids 2 & under FREE. This includes a complete Chuckwagon dining experience at High NOON featuring bison, beans, potatoes, bread, cornbread, and campfire cobbler from the Chuckwagon of your choice (select your wagon in the ticket link)

Cooking on the Square

Cookeville's Signature event on the square featuring all you can eat Cajun cuisine! Presented by Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity. All proceeds from this event will build an affordable home for a local family in need. $25 admission.
