Whitson-Hester School of Nursing - Accreditation

Accreditation

The baccalaureate, master's, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs and the post-graduate APRN certificate program at Tennessee Tech are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). All four programs were reaccredited in September 2023, each with a term running through June 30, 2034 — the longest term CCNE awards. The baccalaureate program has also held full Tennessee Board of Nursing approval since 1980.

The Tennessee Tech School of Nursing maintained accreditation by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission through 2005, at which time accreditation was pursued with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Initial accreditation through CCNE was granted for the maximum of five years (2004-2009).
