Training Schedule
We are excited to announce that end-user training for the new Talon system is now open for registration. Training courses begin the week of November 10th. The Talon system is scheduled to go live on January 2nd. To ensure a smooth transition, we have developed comprehensive training sessions designed to help orient everyone on the new system for accounting, HR and payroll.
The training outline below includes recommendations based on your role at the university. We are offering training prior to the go-live date, as well as sessions continuing throughout January and beyond. Additionally, in-person office hours will be available in January for walk-in support.
Highly Recommended Prerequisite: We recommend that all participants watch the Basic Navigation in Talon video prior to attending any session.

In this course, you will learn how to create, manage, and submit employee expense reports in Talon. The session will cover expense terminology, roles and responsibilities, use of corporate card programs, mobile app functions, and cash advances. Objectives include creating and submitting expense reports, adding expense items manually or from corporate cards, using the Talon mobile app for expenses, and managing cash advances and applying them to reports.

In this course, you will learn how to manage the full lifecycle of grants and projects in Talon.
