The Business Information Technology Program, along with the rest of the College of Business, maintains and supports student clubs and organizations, annual events and conferences, and program-specific student collaborations and experiential learning opportunities to further elevate our rich education experience. Getting involved not only opens doors for future employment and professional growth but also makes for a more memorable and valuable university experience.
Association of Information Technology Professional (AITP)
The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) is a university club that (insert purpose of the club and what the club activities
consist of). AITP is perfect for students who are interested in a career in business
computing and information systems. Business Management, Option BIT (Business and Information
Technology) students comprise the majority of the membership, but all business students
are encouraged to join. AITP allows students to:

Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited
schools. Inducted as students, BGS members go on to serve in critical leadership roles
in corporate, entrepreneurial, government, non-profit, and academic sectors. Members
currently reside in all 50 U. S. states and more than 190 countries. Membership in
this organization represents national recognition of academic achievement. Membership
is by selection and invitation, and those eligible include students who rank in the
upper 7% of the junior class, the upper 10% of the senior class, and the upper 20%
of the graduate class. Induction is in the spring semester, during which students
are recognized at an annual induction ceremony and banquet.
Computer Forensics
Computer Forensics and Investigations (DS4125) introduces students to the exciting
world of digital forensics. Computer Forensics is relevant to all areas of business,
criminal justice, human resource management, and computer science. Through the course,
students develop skills by working in a state-of-the-art forensic lab and solving
cases using forensic methodologies. These cases often include steganography, cryptography,
password cracking, recovery of hidden or deleted data, and analysis of digital artifacts.
The class is designed for technical and non-technical students who have a basic understanding
of computer software (DS2810 or equivalent). If you are interested in enrolling, please

Eagle Works
Eagle Works is an annual competition held by the Tennessee Tech Center for Rural Innovation
in which TN Tech students can create, develop, and present entrepreneurial ideas for
a chance to win. Students of any college, department, or discipline are invited to
dream big and enter the shark-tank style competition to potentially receive funding
for their team’s proposal. If you are looking for an entrepreneurial growth opportunity,
