- 2025 CITL TechTrendsetters: Applications Open!
We invite faculty across campus to apply for the TechTrendsetters Grant. The TechTrendsetters Grant is designed to boost faculty engagement and proficiency in incorporating emerging technologies, tools, and digital literacy into their curricula. Selected grantees will complete the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Online Teaching Certification, which includes three elective workshops, as well as working directly with one of our Instructional Designers for the duration of the grant and beyond. In addition, grantees receive extra salary support and funding for technology.
Additional information about the grant, the timeline for the 2025 cycle, application questions, budget templates, and more can be found on the CITL website. Proposals should emphasize strategies for fostering digital literacy, enhancing student engagement, and addressing the challenges of a technology-driven educational landscape by implementing technology directly into course curricula to improve student experience and success. Applications close March 7th.

Tech Tomorrow: Education for Life
The new members of the Tech Tomorrow Strategic Planning Team have been selected and Lenly Weathers, associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the College of Engineering, has been named the faculty leader for the Tech Tomorrow Education for Life goal.
“As the team leader for Education for Life, I am eager to reach out to students, faculty, staff and administrators to promote the priorities under this facet of Tech Tomorrow by improving current practices or creating new ones,” Weathers said. “This will mean continuing to evolve a Tech-unique general education curriculum to provide the foundation for technologically adept, analytically capable, career-ready graduates. Expanding the diversity of our student population is also a priority of Education for Life, as is the related goal of developing each student’s global awareness in our increasingly interconnected, global society.”
The previous leader for this goal was Ed Lisic, professor of chemistry in the College of Arts & Sciences.
