Air or Water Quality Management

American Conservation Experience – EPIC Water Quality Inventory and Monitoring Member in Oneida, TN Description: This is a six month position with the NPS Appalachian Highlands Inventory and Monitoring Network (APHN) where the ACE member will serve as a member of a team that conducts field-oriented natural resources monitoring. Duties are mainly assisting with field data collection, data management and related laboratory testing for the Network's water quality monitoring program. Other duties may include assisting with freshwater mussel and vegetation monitoring. Posting Date: 3/9/24 Salary: $600/week
Carlson Environmental Consultants Surface Emissions Monitoring Technician in Nashville, TN Description: The objective of the job is to support our ongoing environmental efforts to help landfills reduce pollution and greenhouse gases by controlling the gas generated by the natural decomposition of garbage. The position is field based and requires significant outdoor work, to be performed during typical Monday through Friday work week (7AM -5PM), with limited weekend needs. The successful applicant will join our team in Tullytown to work at a complex of three closed landfill sites, at which there is no exposure to trash. This is an apprenticeship style position where the primary responsibility is to scan the surface of the landfills with a gas analyzer to monitor for possible possible methane emissions and verify the integrity of the landfill gas containment systems. Salary: $21-$22/hr

The Jones Center at Ichauway Communication & Media Specialist in Newton, GA Description: The successful candidate will assist in facilitation of internal communications efforts, provide graduate student support, and support digital and printed media creation. This position reports to the Outreach & Education Coordinator and works with staff in Education, Conservation, and Research. This position will work onsite at the Jones Center a 28,500-acre research center in southwestern Georgia between Albany and Bainbridge. Clean Harbors Environmental Scientist Project Supervisor in Norwell, MA Description: The Environmental Scientist is responsible for managing response actions involving site assessment and remediation. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the LSP overseeing and documenting response actions involving Immediate Response Actions, Release Abatement Measures and Phase I and II investigations at hazardous waste sites.
