Notes

2022-2023: ITS checkouts were slightly down, and the Apple laptops were the most significant decrease. Printing decreased significantly compared to previous years.

2021-2022: ITS checkouts increased from last year since pandemic restrictions and behavior was more relaxed. Windows laptops continue to be more frequently borrowed.

2020-2021: ITS checkout was closed due to COVID-19 until the beginning of spring semester.  When it reopened, it only circulated laptops.  Overall, traffic in the library was much lower due to the pandemic.

2019-2020: ITS checkout stopped circulating items after spring break when the university went to online classes only through July 1, 2020.  The library never closed due to COVID, but with online classes, printing decreased severely at the end of the year.  However, the library percentage of printing on campus increased this year.

2018-2019: Printing was down across campus and in the library this year, which continues the five-year trend of decreases.  Technology checkout was transferred to ITS in August 2018.  Circulation of technology dropped drastically by almost 50%, most of which was due to the decrease in apple laptops and chargers/cables.  Windows laptop circulation increased, and Apple and Windows laptops circulated the same amount.

2017-2018: Although fewer pages were printed this year, the library's portion of campus printing increased again. Technology checkouts mostly increased, but laptop checkouts decreased. Windows laptops account for about 11% of our laptop inventory and generated about 19% of our circulation.

2016-2017: This is the first full year of technology checkout at the library front desk. Calculator and headphone usage increased and the laptop usage nearly doubled. The library began checking out umbrellas in Fall 2016 and Windows laptops in Summer 2017. The charger usage decreased because the library no longer offers phone chargers for checkout. Library printing increased to over 84% of all campus pages printed.
