Creating an Account ORDERING A VIRTUAL PARKING PERMIT
Who is eligible for a virtual visitor permit?
Any person who is not a student or employee of the University is eligible for a virtual visitor permit.
You are considered a student if you are taking any classes at Tennessee Tech, including online classes. You are considered an employee if you work for Tennessee Tech in any capacity. This includes full-time, part-time, temporary, contracted, adjunct, and remote employees. Students and employees who need a virtual temporary parking permit should email parking@tntech.edu.
Where does the virtual visitor permit allow me to park?
Virtual visitor permits allow you to park in any visitor space or purple zone on campus.
You can view the parking map to find where these areas are located.
Can I use the campus shuttles as a visitor?
Yes! The campus shuttles are a free service that visitors are welcome to use. View
a shuttle map and download our shuttle tracking app. Shuttles run from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday
through Friday during the fall and spring semesters.
The system will only allow me to get a virtual visitor permit for one day. How do I request a permit for longer?
Though our system will only allow you to obtain a virtual visitor permit for one day
at a time, there is no limit to how often you can log in and obtain a virtual visitor
permit. If you plan on being on campus for more than 24 hours, you may do one of
the following:
1. Log in to the system and obtain a new virtual visitor permit when your first expires.
2. Email or call our office and request an extension. We can change the expiration
date to reflect the length of time you will be on campus for your visit.
