Jeremiah Reynolds
Jeremiah Reynolds is a sophomore majoring in secondary education with a concentration in history, and he is a transfer student from Indio, California.
Reynolds transferred to Tennessee Tech from College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California because of two reasons: Tech’s affordability and the campus community.
“In all my dealings with the staff I have never had a bad experience,” Reynolds said. “Talking with advisors and department heads, you can tell there is a passion to help the students succeed and deep care for education that I find aspiring.”
In his move to Tennessee, Reynolds is finding his balance between work and school. His dedication to his education as well as his work highlights his drive to accomplish big things at Tech.
Along with the people at Tech, Reynolds enjoys the campus scenery.
“My favorite thing about Tech, besides the people, would have to be the environment,” Reynolds explained. “Coming from a desert, the outrageous level of greenery is refreshing.”
Even with the large distance between California and Tennessee, Tech stuck out to Reynolds. This university has become a place where he truly feels he belongs through finding people that genuinely care. He is eager to continue his time at Tech because it feels like home.
“Not my old home, but a place where I can be happy and content,” Reynolds described. “I don’t know too many people here yet, but something inside me called me here, and I have no regrets on listening to it.”
